    I tried it literally a dozen times and it wasn’t working so j ended up re-jailbreaking my phone again with snowbreeze and it worked like a gem .. Used the same firmware so it must have been the redsnow. Thank you tho I appreciate it.

    @hixlax77 Really? There is a link in the description that has steps on how to do it on a Windows computer while using 4.2.8, I will try and get a hold of a Verizon and try it myself and if I find out anything I will make sure people know

    I tried rednow Rc15 and Rc16 and neither works … I have the 4.2.8 and i keep getting the “an unexpected error occurred during preparation” .. dont know how to get past this step

    Im having the same exact problem as AndresR0d … I have redsnow 0.9.6rc15 downloaded and i downloaded the right iOS from the site you gave … which is the iPhone4 4.2.8 8E401 … and im getting “an unexpected error occurred during preparation” .. any idea how to get past this step?

    @Da808Boii you should be able to, From what Ive read 4.2.8 is supported on the latest jailbreak firmware. Look on the description I have added a new link.

    Hey are you sure you can use it on 4.2.8 my friend needs her iphone JB and it is on 4.2.8 she just got it. Can I just download firmware from iclarified and use RC16 of Redsn0w ?

    @casino217 hmmm there might be something wrong with the iOS. did you get it from the site I gave? and are you running the 0.9.6rc15? just gotta make sure lol

    i gotta verizon iphone 4.2.8 and after i put the firmware in and it confirms it, after about 5 seconds of processing the jailbreak it stops and says “an unexpected error occurred during preparation”

    @Surferpipe you have nothing to loose, jailbreaking is awesome and cant really break your iDevice unless you REALLY really fuck it up lol
